Sci-Phi Fest | Chopping Mall (1986)

Attention citizens of earth and the greater Philadelphia region, join us as we embark on our Fourth Annual Sci-Phi Film Festival taking place March 27th through March 29th. From time traveling DeLorean’s to invaders from another planet, our mission is to showcase some of the most exceptional science fiction films of all time over the course of 3 days. The Festival ends on Saturday with a fun horror-scifi film from 1986- CHOPPING MALL! 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟭𝟬 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝘁 hiwaytheater.org/sciphi

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: What happens when you mix an ‘80s slasher flick and George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead with killer robots? You get CHOPPING MALL! Horror mainstays Kelli Maroney and Barbara Crampton, along with their group of teen friends, sneak into the mall late at night to throw a party. When the shopping hub unexpectedly goes on lockdown, this prompts the robot security system to malfunction and go on a murderous rampage complete with lasers! This neon infused B-movie cheese fest of sci-fi, horror and comedy boasts the pitch-perfect tagline of — “Where Shopping Costs You and Arm and a Leg!”
